Beacon Hose installs officers

BEACON FALLS — Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 installed its 2019-20 officers at the department’s annual Installation of Officers Dinner on April 27.

Chief Brian DeGeorge will serve his third consecutive and seventh overall year as Beacon Hose’s fire chief. Assistant Chief Howard Leeper will serve his third consecutive year in the role.

The following officers were also installed: Capt. Cal Brennan, 1st Lt. John Weid, 2nd Lt. Adam Daniels, EMS Director Peter Monti, Assistant EMS Director Kristen Trzaski, Assistant EMS Director Martha Berge, Secretary Jamie Linley, Assistant Secretary Cody Brennan, Treasurer Tom Pratt Assistant Treasurer Jodi DiZazzo, Junior Corps 2nd Lt. Brayden Alves, Junior Corps 1st Lt. James Comeau, Junior Corps Capt. Connor Banks, Fire Police Lt. John Lubinski and Fire Police Capt. Bill McCasland.

Beacon Hose also honored its annual award winners at the dinner. The Golden Shamrock Award, presented in honor of Harold Lennon for outstanding fire service, was presented to 61-year member and retired Fire Police Capt. Bob Messner. Messner also received the Bologna Sandwich Award for outstanding service to Beacon Hose. The Star of Life Award, presented in honor of Bob Cole for outstanding EMS service, was presented to Sherrie Lubinski.
