Grant funds forum on ‘fake news’

PROSPECT — Connecticut Humanities awarded a $1,930 grant to the Prospect Library to host a second forum on the subject of “fake news.”

The keynote speaker for the forum, which is entitled: “Fake News in Real Context,” is Paul Levinson, a professor at Fordham University.

Following Levinson’s talk, Quinnipiac University professor Richard Hanley will react with his own observations and teachings.

Questions will also be taken from the audience. Larry Rifkin, formerly of Connecticut Public Television and WATR Radio, will moderate the forum.

The forum is Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 17 Center St. Registration is suggested. For information or to register, call the library at 203-758-3001.
