BEACON FALLS – Three crews are working to restore power in town today, according to an alert sent through Beacon Falls’ website.

As of 2 p.m. today, 65 percent of Beacon Falls remained without power, according to Connecticut Light and Power’s website.

The Senior Center will serve a hot meal from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for residents without power, according to the alert.

Residents may shower at Woodland Regional High School and charge electronics and access the internet at the library in town hall. The library will host a Wii tournament and/or movie in the Town Hall Assembly room at 2 p.m.

Garbage pickup is still coming Friday, but may be delayed due to the volume of trash. Residents may leave brush on their curbs for the town crew to pick up or bring it to the town garage between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., accord to the town’s website.

CL&P will deliver water to the Beacon Falls Fire House this afternoon, along with electrical safety booklets and DVDs for children, according to a press release from CL&P.

“We were asked by these towns to help supply water to the shelters because they were running out,” said CL&P President and COO Jeff Butler in a press release. “And we’re happy to help.”
