The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DAVID LEPESKA, 19, of 260 High St., Naugatuck, was charged April 11 with first-degree failure to appear and five counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 11 at approximately 3:24 p.m. Lepeska was arrested on active arrest warrants. Lepeska was given a court date of April 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

QUENTIN VENERE, 30, of 473 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged April 12 with breach of peace and second-degree threatening.

Police reported on April 12 Venere was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a disturbance between acquaintances. During an argument, police reported, Venere threaten to harm the victim. Venere was given a court date of April 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $5,000 surety bond.

TONY PORTER JR., 47, of 7 Hart Lane, Ansonia, was charged April 12 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on April 12 at approximately 11:18 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Cherry Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Porter was operating under the influence of alcohol. Porter was given a court date of April 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

BENJAMIN MASLIUK, 28, of 62 Old Farm Lane, Naugatuck, was charged April 13 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on April 13 at approximately 1:03 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Masliuk was operating under the influence of alcohol. Masliuk was given a court date of April 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

DARIN POOLE, 51, of 32 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged April 13 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 13 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Poole was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Poole was given a court date of April 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $3,500 surety bond.

WILLIAM BRADLEY, 21, of 136 Lorann Drive, Naugatuck, was charged April 13 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and third-degree strangulation.

Police reported on April 13 at approximately 8:54 p.m. officers responded to 136 Lorann Drive for a domestic disturbance between father and son. During an argument, police reported, Bradley punched, kicked and grabbed the victim by his neck. Bradley was given a court date of April 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

DUANE ROBERTSON, 40, of 212 Amity Road, Bethany, was charged April 14 with possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on April 14 at approximately 8:19 a.m. an officer was traveling behind Robertson’s vehicle on Maple Street. The officer observed something being thrown from the driver side window, police reported. The officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Robertson threw small bags of heroin which were later weighed at 0.9 grams. Robertson was given a court date of April 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

EDWARD ODONNELL, 47, of 77 Meadow Lark Road, Naugatuck, was charged April 14 with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and disobeying officer signal.

Police reported on April 14 at approximately 3:36 p.m. an officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle investigation on Horton Hill Road. Police reported Odonnell continued to drive until he finally stopped his vehicle on Meadowlark Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Odonnell was operating under the influence of alcohol. Odonnell was given a court date of April 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

OKINA TAYLOR, 18, of 55 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged April 14 with breach of peace and third-degree assault.

Police reported on April 14 at approximately 6:49 p.m. officers responded to KFC on Bridge Street for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Taylor punched the victim several times. Taylor was given a court date of April 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MATTHEW TOWLE, 32, of 131 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 14 with breach of peace.

Police reported on April 14 at approximately 10:27 p.m. officers responded to 131 Manners Ave. for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Towle exited the home. He returned a short time later and damaged the front door disturbing the neighbors with the noise, police reported. The accused then left the home for a second time. Officers with the assistance of a state police canine unit located the accused in a field on Andrew Avenue, police reported. Towle was given a court date of April 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

RYAN JORDAN, 26, of 152 Pumpkin Hill Road, New Milford, was charged April 15 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 15 at approximately 3:45 p.m. Jordan was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for larceny complaint made on Feb. 21, 2014 at Walmart. Police reported Jordan attempted to walk out of the store with a DVD player. When he was approached by loss prevention he dropped the DVD player and ran to a SUV in the parking lot, which drove away, police reported. Jordan was given a court date of April 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOHN BUTLER, 19, of 424 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged April 15 with fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 15 at 8:10 p.m. Butler was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for larceny complaint made on Feb. 26, 2014. Police reported Butler stole an Iphone 5 left on a table at Dunkin Donuts on New Haven Road. The phone was valued at $750, police reported. Butler was given a court date of April 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

RUSSELL JAFFER, 33, of 21 Maplewood Road, Southington, was charged April 15 with three counts of second-degree failure to appear and violation of probation.

Police reported on April 15 at approximately 7:55 a.m. Jaffer turned himself in on active arrest warrants. Jaffer was given a court date of April 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

DENNIS COSGROVE, 54, of 851 Congress Ave. Ext., Waterbury, was charged April 15 with driving under the influence, operating unregistered motor vehicle and insurance coverage fails minimum requirements.

Police reported on April 15 at approximately 4:53 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Spring Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cosgrove was operating under the influence of alcohol. Cosgrove was given a court date of April 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
