The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

JORDAN TORRES, 23 of 24 George St., Naugatuck was charged April 17 with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

EDWIN LOPEZ, 40, of 38 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 17 with criminal violation of protective order and third-degree assault.

Police reported on April 17 at approximately 8:50 a.m. Lopez turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Lopez pushed and hit the victim. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lopez violated an active protective order. Lopez was given a court date of April 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

JEFFREY LYDEN, 24, of 193 Bluebird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged April 17 with possession of controlled substance: non-narcotic, hallucinogen, less than 4 ounces of marijuana.

Police reported on April 17 at approximately 11:17 a.m. an officer was investigating a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lyden was in possession of .55 ounces of marijuana. Lyden was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

ADAM ERDELY, 32, of 23B Olive St., Naugatuck, was charged April 18 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 18 at approximately 3:02 a.m. officers responded to Pleasant Avenue for a report of a male party entering parked cars. Police reported Erdely was found walking in the area. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Erdely stole items and money from unlocked vehicles. Erdely was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ROBERT OLOFSON, 23, of 97 Maple St., Seymour, was charged April 18 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 18 at approximately 5:18 p.m. Olofson was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Olofson was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 cash bond.

TRACY FEDAK, 43, of 48-3 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged April18 with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on April 18 at approximately 6:34 p.m. officers responded to 48 Washington St. 3rd floor for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Fedak grabbed the victim’s face and pushed her. Fedak was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

STEVE STEVENS, 41, of 23 Orchard Terrace, Naugatuck, was charged April 18 with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police reported on April 18 at approximately 6:30 p.m. officers responded to Spring Street for an assault. During an argument, police reported, Stevens hit the victim, who is an acquaintance. Stevens was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 cash bond.

KUMAR ASHOK, 36, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 19 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on April 19 at approximately 4:51 p.m. officers responded to 151 Andrew Ave. #224 for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Ashok threw the victim to the floor and punched her. Ashok was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

RICHARDO ROJAS, 19, of 159 Red Robin Road, Naugatuck, was charged April 19 with first-degree failure to appear and two counts of second-degree failure to appear

Police reported on April 19 Rojas was arrested on active arrest warrants. Rojas was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a surety bond.

ADELIN LIRANZO-RODRIGUEZ, 37, of 70 Garden St., Stamford, was charged April 20 with evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Police reported on April 20 Liranzo-Rodriguez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an evading motor vehicle accident reported on Dec. 14, 2013 that occurred in the parking lot of Big Y. Police reported Liranzo-Rodriguez backed into the victim’s car and drove from the scene. Liranzo-Rodriguez was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

AVENA BROOKS, 18, of 150 School St., Naugatuck, was charged April 20 with third-degree conspiracy at larceny, third-degree conspiracy at identity theft and third-degree conspiracy at forgery.

Police reported on April 20 at approximately 7:52 a.m. Brooks turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on April 4, 2014. Police reported Brooks with an accomplice forged a check stolen from the victim. The victim was an acquaintance. The amount of the forged check was $2,500, police reported. Brooks was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JOHN P. KOPCHIK, 61, of 40 Morris Road, Woodbridge, was charged April 20 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on April 20 at approximately 12:43 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Kopchik was operating under the influence of alcohol. Kopchik was given a court date of May 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MICHAEL MORROW, 30, of 23 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 20 with breach of peace and third-degree strangulation.

Police reported on April 20 at approximately 8:46 p.m. officers responded to 23 Dunn Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, the girlfriend punched Morrow. Morrow then threw her onto a bed and grabbed her by her neck, police reported. Morrow was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

TIFFANY MANCO, 25, of 23 Dunn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 20 with breach of peace.

Police reported on April 20 at approximately 8:46 p.m. officers responded to 23 Dunn Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Manco punched the boyfriend, who then threw her onto a bed and grabbed her by her neck. Manco was given a court date of April 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

DONTE MILES, 18, of 92 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged April 21 with third-degree burglary, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 12:12 p.m. officers responded to 115 Highland Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Miles pushed the victim and left the home. He returned and entered the home through a window without the victim’s permission, police reported. Miles was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

SEAN MARCHANT, 21, of 20 Merriman Lane, Prospect, was charged April 21 with second-degree failure to appear, two counts of first-degree failure to appear and failure to respond to violation.

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 6:04 p.m. Marchant turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Marchant was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set cash bond.

CHERISH CURTIN, 32, of 605 Soundview Ave., Bridgeport, was charged April 21 with disorderly conduct

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 7:39 p.m. officers responded to 21 Diamond St. for a disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Curtain pushed another woman, who then struck Curtain on the left side of her face. Curtin was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MICHAEL FLOYD, 27, of 10 Mirriman Lane, Prospect, was charged April 21 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 7:15 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Floyd took items from the store and returned them for cash, making two false refunds worth $31.01. Floyd was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JENNIFER L. RAMOS, 27, of 121 Hillside Ave., Waterbury, was charged April 21 with disorderly conduct

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 7:39 p.m. officers responded to 21 Diamond St. for a disturbance. During an argument, police reported, a woman pushed Ramos , who then struck the woman on the left side of her face. Ramos was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DANIELLE LEIDER, 60, of 20 Elm St., Seymour, was charged April 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 7:06 p.m. an officer responded to 3 Buritt Place for a domestic disturbance between sisters. During an argument, police reported, the two females began to fight, which caused them to fall to the floor. Leider was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DEBORAH DIVER, 62, of 3 Buritt Place, Naugatuck, was charged April 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on April 21 at approximately 7:06 p.m. an officer responded to 3 Buritt Place for a domestic disturbance between sisters. During an argument, police reported, the two females began to fight, which caused them to fall to the floor. Diver was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

CHRISTINE WOOSER, 46, of 17 Cadbury Place, Naugatuck, was charged April 22 with evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Police reported on April 22 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Wooster turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an evading motor vehicle accident reported on April 6, 2014 at Walmart. Police reported Wooster struck a vehicle and left the area without reporting it. Wooster was given a court date of May 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

STEVEN NIEVES, 29, of 62 Hotchkiss St., Nauagtuck, was charged April 22 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 22 at approximately 12:09 a.m. Nieves was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Nieves was given a court date of April 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

CLAUDE WILLIAMS, 22, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 22 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on April 22 at approximately 12:21 a.m. Williams was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Williams was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Bantam Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

JAVON COUTURE, 19, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 22 with witness intimidation, threatening and breach of peace.

Police reported on April 22 at approximately 4:51 p.m. an officer met with the victim at the Naugatuck Police Department regarding an intimation complaint. The victim was stopped for a red light on Rubber Avenue when Couture was walking in the area, police reported. Couture made obscene gestures and told her he is not going to jail, police reported. Couture was previously charged with burglarizing the victim’s home and he is currently going to court for that incident. Couture was given a court date of April 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

JOSEPH VILLAFANE, 23, of 397 Atlantic St., Bridgeport, was charged April 23 with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to child.

PATRICIA NEVES, 61, of 22 Hazel Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 23 with issuing a bad check.

Police reported on April 23 at approximately 7 p.m. Neves turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a bad check complaint made on Feb. 25, 2014. The victim received a check from Neves in the amount of $436.38, police reported. The check was returned for insufficient funds. Neves was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
