NAUGATUCK — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who they say is at the center of a fraudulent checks investigation.
Police said on Jan. 19 the woman, who police described as black, asked a male pedestrian to help her with cashing checks at Ion Bank at 87 Church St. The man agreed and cashed the checks, police said. The man later learned the checks were fraudulent, police said.
