PROSPECT — A new petting zoo will be open to residents this Saturday.

The Farm, owned by Kelly Cronin, executive director of Waterbury Youth Services, opened last Sunday.

It runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 18 Spring Road, and admission is $5 per person. That price includes a petting zoo, pony ride and a walk around the property, which has a brook and picnic area, she said.

Children can walk to animal stations where they can view and pet animals over the fence, such as llamas, rabbits, a calf and three little pigs Cronin said. This new venture is situated across from Cronin’s home, and is an expansion of her traveling petting zoo called Farm on Wheels.
