Cluster Mae Provo Hollie

Cluster Mae Provo Hollie, born March 17, 1929, received her heavenly calling home on April 28, 2018.

Cluster was born in Macon County, Ala., to the union of Mary Lee Provo and Mose Provo (both deceased). She was one of five daughters born to this union.

Cluster, a product of the Montgomery County Public School system (Booker T. Washington High School), also attended Alabama State University (Montgomery, Ala.) and Post University (Middlebury).

Cluster professed her lifelong belief in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church, Montgomery, Ala. Her beliefs and serving spirit were in action all her life (personal and professional) as exemplified in her work with the aging until her retirement.

Cluster married Charles Hollie in 1952 and to this union was born two sons, Kenneth Charles and Ronald Provo. Cluster was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother until her “going home.” Grandsons, Kenneth Jr., Nathan, and Adam were the “loves” of her living.

Cluster will also be remember for her belief in “God Angels” always around, watching over her, protecting her and bringing good and sunshine to her.

Cluster is survived by and leaves to mourn and miss her, two sons, Kenneth Charles Hollie (Kilye Pak) of Naugatuck, and Ronald P. Hollie of Pecos N.M.; three grandsons, Kenneth Hollie, Jr., Nathan Hollie and Adam Hollie; three sisters, Odell Brown (Willie), Mary Elizabeth Harris, and Chessie Luckie (all of Montgomery, Ala.); several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
