NAUGATUCK — A collection of books funded by the Naugatuck Rotary Club in 2016 will be on display this month at the Whittemore Library.

Each year since 1955, the library has received an annual stipend from the club to purchase books. Each book is labeled with a special bookplate featuring the Rotary seal and a Rotarian’s name. Books are purchased based on the special interests of each Rotarian on his or her birthday. To date, 3,912 books have been added to the library’s permanent collection through the stipend.

The books are displayed by the Whittemore Gallery Wall located on the main floor in the Adult Department. The display can be viewed during normal hours at the library, 243 Church St. For more information, call 203-729-4591.
