NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck High School football team has been “kidnapped.”

The faux kidnapping is a fundraiser for the Naugatuck Historical Society’s capital campaign. The team’s “ransom” of $1,000 has to be raised by Sept. 1. The money will be donated to the Naugatuck Historical Society to use for the creation of exhibits at the Naugatuck History Museum at the Tuttle House.

Donations can be made online at www.naugatuckhistory.org/save-the-greyhounds. Donations can also be made in person at the Naugatuck History Museum at the Tuttle House, 380 Church St., Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., when players from the team will be volunteering to clean and do yard work at the museum.
