Barbara A. (Kloc) Keating

MIDDLEBURY — Barbara A. (Kloc) Keating, 62, died peacefully on July 3, 2020, at her home, surrounded by loving family.

Barbara was born March 6, 1958, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Walter J. and Ida (Ciriello) Kloc. Barb was raised in Naugatuck where she graduated from Naugatuck High School, and for many years, worked as a waitress in various restaurants in Connecticut and in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Barbara was a member of Christ the King Church in Naugatuck, and she loved living in her lake house, which was so important to family and friends. Over the years, thousands visited “the cottage,” especially on Barbara’s favorite holiday, the Fourth of July.

Barbara is survived by her son, Kevin B. Keating; her daughter, Taylor M. Keating and her fiancé, Andy Hieber; her former husband, Thomas Keating; her sisters, Patricia Lubanda and her husband, Frank Lubanda, and Donna Cyr; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be private, and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
