Barbara Minton, age 86, a longtime Fairfield resident, beloved wife of Don Minton, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 3, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Barbara taught for many years in the Fairfield School System and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She liked cats, enjoyed listening to her son-in-law play the trumpet and was recently extremely excited about the upcoming delivery of her second great-grandchild by her granddaughter Amy. Family was most important in Barbara’s life and it could easily be seen in the love for her three grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband Don include two daughters, Bethann Letsch and her husband Bruce of Fairfield; Marlene Fetcho of Naugatuck; three grandchildren, Kevin Letsch of Fairfield; Amy Tobey of Wilton; Henry Fetcho of Naugatuck; and a great-grandchild, Olivia Letsch.
A funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Spear-Miller Funeral home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield. Friends may call from 1-3 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Minton family through the funeral director.
