NAUGATUCK — Elaine M. (Storer) Soucie, 86, widow of Harold Soucie, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital.
Mrs. Soucie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 22, 1934, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Nott) Storer. She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and had worked at Uniroyal, Inc. and Bristol Babcock for many years. Elaine was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Naugatuck Senior Center, and Red Hats. She was an avid UConn and New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed crafting.
She leaves her children, Roy Rostedt and his wife, Louella, of Oakville, and James Rostedt of Naugatuck; her daughters, Debra Irizarry and Lynn Marquis and her husband, Leroy, all of Naugatuck; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lucille Storer; and several nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by her brother, Donald Storer.
A private graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, has been entrusted with arrangements.
