Johanna (Patronik) Kadziewicz

WOLCOTT — Johanna (Patronik) Kadziewicz, 89, widow of Thaddeus Fabian Kadziewicz, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Chatfield Assisted Living in West Hartford.

She was born in Hudson, Pa., on June 26, 1929, daughter of the late John and Johanna (Karaszkiewicz) Patronik. She graduated class valedictorian from Post College in Waterbury and was a longtime resident of Wolcott. Johanna retired from Bradlees after 21 years of service. She was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, where she was a member of the Children of Mary, Carmelites, and the Rosary Society.

Johanna is survived by her four loving daughters, Carol Hopkins and her husband, Don, of Arizona, Johanna Pfeiffer and her husband, Richard, of Florida, Regina Sanchez of Windsor, and Janina Kean of Sharon; her two grandchildren, Cassandra Sanchez and Joseph Sanchez; her sisters, Mary Alice Hanley and her husband, Robert Hanley, of Newport, R.I., and Marcia Grisham of Napa, Calif. She was predeceased by her sisters, Louise Krajewski and Helen Butkus.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Platt Road, Watertown. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
