John “Jack” J. Kane
NAUGATUCK– Mr. John “Jack” J. Kane, 51, of Valley Drive passed away on Tuesday Feb. 22 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Bernadine (Brody) Kane.

Jack was born in Waterbury on April 28, 1959, a son of Barbara Ann (Germino) Kane of Waterbury and the late John L. Kane. He was a lifelong Naugatuck resident and worked at GEM Manufacturing. He also was the owner of Reel Life Video Productions. He was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church, where he was a choir member, and volunteered for the American Cancer Society.

Besides his wife of 15 years and mother, he leaves three sons, Daniel Kane and his wife Jennifer of Ala., Adam and John Kane both of Naugatuck; a daughter, Emily Kane of Naugatuck; a step-son, Jeffery Brody of Naugatuck; a brother, Michael Kane and his wife Lisa of Old Lyme; a sister, Nancy Fornito of Naugatuck; two grandsons, Sean and Ayden Kane; several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Saturday Feb. 26 at 9:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray medical expenses in care of the funeral home.
