NAUGATUCK — Lillian (Bellefeuille) Altiere, 86, widow of Frank R. Altiere, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Lillian was born in Waterbury on Jan. 21, 1934, daughter of the late Armand and Grace (Deschais) Bellefeuille. She was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and retired from Peter Paul, Inc. She was affectionately known as “Diamond Lil,” and enjoyed baking, traveling, shopping and was never afraid of trying new things. Lil was also a member of the Eagles Club, where she was Mother of the Year in 2010.

She leaves her son, Keith Altiere and his companion, Wanda Dion; her daughters, Cheryl Kazalunas and her husband, Paul, Debra Mariano and her husband, Ken Ventresca, and Michelle Grella and her husband, Chris; her eight grandchildren, Shaun Altiere and his wife, Emily, Brian Altiere and his wife, Becka, Jessica Scull and her husband, Chris, Jamison Kazalunas, Nicholas Mariano and his companion, Lisa Heath, and Oliva, Mia and Rocco Grella; her great-grandchildren, Rylan, Harlow Lillan, Haven, Jax, Ayla, Brooks and Brennan; her brother, Roland Bellefeuille and his wife, Millie; her sisters, Jeanette Swircenski and her husband, Henry, and Ceil Schiavo; her sister-in-law, Maryann Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Those attending are asked to please follow social distancing guidelines and wear facial coverings.
