Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Brian Davis, 33, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Nov. 7 at approximately 11:27 a.m. officers responded to Walmart for a domestic disturbance in the parking lot. Police reported Davis was driving away from the victim when his vehicle hit a shopping cart. The shopping cart struck the victim. There was a juvenile seated in the shopping cart at the time of the incident, police reported. The juvenile was not harmed during the altercation, police reported. Davis was given a court date of Nov. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Tessa Arcovio, 20, of 206 Bluebird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with sixth-degree larceny and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Nov. 7 at approximately 4:13 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Arcovio, accompanied by two juveniles, stole $103.21 worth of merchandise. Arcovio was given a court date of Nov. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

James H. Brookins, 60, of 21 Woodbine St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 7 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 7 at approximately 4 p.m. an officer responded to Bridgeport Superior Court to transport Brookins to the Naugatuck Police Department. Brookins was being held on an active arrest warrant. Brookins was given a court date of Nov. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $5,000 surety bond.

Alijah Williams, 18, of 41 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 8 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Nov. 8 at approximately 1:05 a.m. an officer investigated a suspicious motor vehicle on Lewis Street. During the investigation, police reported, Williams was found to be in possession of marijuana. Williams was given a court date of Nov. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Cesareo Barbagallo, 34, of 87 Tedesco Drive, Watebrury, was charged Nov. 8 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 8 at approximately 1:58 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, police reported, Barbagallo was identified and found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant. Barbagallo was given a court date of Nov. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $2,500 surety bond.

Jacklyn Hill, 30, of 719 Frenchtown Road, Bridgeport, was charged Nov. 10 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 10 at approximately 2:57 a.m. Hill was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Westport. Hill was given a court date of Nov. 21 to appear at Norwalk Superior Court and released on a $500 cash bond.

Mary Shea, 32, of last known address 110 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov 10 with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and three counts of violation of probation.

Police reported on Nov. 10 Shea was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from a burglary/larceny incident that was originally reported to Naugatuck police on Oct. 7, 2018. During that incident, police reported, the victim advised that Shea has entered the victim’s home without permission and took electronics and jewelry items, which were later found and recovered from the accused. Police reported Shea was also arrested on probation violations. Shea was held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.

William Nelson Lauber, 25, of 229 Blohm St., West Haven, was charged Nov. 11 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 11 Lauber was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. Lauber was released on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Christian Papcin, 21, of 9 Evelyn Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 11 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 11 officers responded to a domestic disturbance in which the victim advised that Papcin and the victim became involved in an argument in which Papcin smashed dishes and threw various other items in the residence. Police reported Papcin fled the residence prior to officer’s arrival but was located a short time later in Waterbury. Papcin was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Nicholas M. Duque, 45, of 65 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 11 with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree harassment.

Police reported on Nov. 11 officers were dispatched to Carriage Drive on a domestic dispute in which the victim advised officers that Duque had come to the residence and created a disturbance by yelling. The victim further advised that Duque had sent numerous harassing text messages, emails and phone calls to the victim prior to arriving at the residence, police reported. Duque left the residence prior to the arrival of officers but was located a short time later, police reported. Duque was interviewed and based on the information obtained from all parties involved he was arrested on the listed charges, police reported. Duque was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 12.

Jason W. Centola, 38, of 33 Mountain View Drive, East Hartford, was charged Nov. 11 with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed Centola illegally conceal items and exited the store without paying for them. Centola was released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 21.

Anthony Bosco, 50, of 925 Oronoke Road, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 12 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Nov. 12 at approximately 7:40 p.m. Naugatuck police conducted a traffic stop on Cherry Street near Rubber Avenue. Upon interviewing the operator, police reported, it was determined that Bosco was impaired. Bosco was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 28.

Benjamin Romero, 33, of 3 Sorrel Road, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 12 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Nov. 12 at approximately 8:51 p.m. Naugatuck police conducted a traffic stop on Route 8 at exit 28. Upon speaking with the driver, police reported, it was determined that Romero was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. During the stop, police reported, officers found Romero to be in illegal possession of marijuana. Romero was released on bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior
Court on Nov. 28.

Morris J. Holman, 19, of 150 Manhan St., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 13 with third-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 13 Holman was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from a stolen motor vehicle incident that was investigated by Naugatuck police on July 30, 2018. During that investigation, police reported, officers observed a stolen motor vehicle parked at Walmart. The vehicle was occupied by an unknown person who fled in the vehicle upon seeing the investigating officer, police reported. Surveillance footage from the store showed that just prior to the officer’s arrival, Holman exited the driver side of the car and entered Walmart, police reported. Holman was located walking down New Haven Road a short time later and was interviewed about the incident. Police reported Holman admitted to driving the vehicle to Walmart but claimed to not know about the car being stolen or the other person that was in the vehicle. Holman was held on bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 13.
