Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Richard Lopez, 61, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 28 with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 28 at approximately 6:21 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Lopez disposed of some of the victim’s property. Lopez was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

Ashraf Malak, 46, of 18 Beebe St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 28 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 28 at approximately 6:40 p.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Malak struck the victim with a door. The victim sustained a small cut to her forehead, police reported. Malak was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

Alex Naulaguari, 24, of 11 Grandview Ave., Danbury, was charged Nov. 29 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on Nov. 29 at approximately 12:24 a.m. an officer investigated a violation of a protective order. Police reported the officer observed Naulaguari in the same vehicle as the victim. This was in violation of an active protective order, stating Naulaguari shall not have contact with the victim, police reported. Naulaguari was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

Jacob Thomas Molnar, 22, of 231 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 29 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 29 at approximately 8:08 a.m. Molnar turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Molnar was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $2,000 surety bond.

Sara Frances Vergnetti, 38, of 19 Ash Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 29 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 29 at approximately 1:44 p.m. an officer responded to Big Y for a larceny complaint. Police reported Vergnetti stole $204.60 worth of meat and seafood. Vergnetti was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Grace McPhail, 48, of 12 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 29 with sale of a controlled substance, risk of injury to a child, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree criminal trespassing and reckless driving.

Police reported on Nov. 29 at approximately 6:05 p.m. officers responded to a report of a school bus driving recklessly. The bus was located and stopped on Spring Street. Police reported McPhail was identified as the driver of the school bus. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined McPhail was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. There were two juveniles on the bus at the time of the incident. McPhail was given a court date of Nov. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Mark Fabiani, 54, of 6 Windview Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 30 with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Nov. 29 at approximately 11:57 p.m. Fabiani was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Oct. 5, 2018. Police reported Fabiani entered the victim’s home, who is known to him, and stole money and jewelry. Fabiani was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

Joseph Paul Amaral, 19, of 4 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 30 with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, possession burglar tools and conspiracy to commit possession burglar tools.

Police reported on Nov. 30 at approximately 11:01 p.m. Amaral was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Oct. 27, 2018. Police reported Amaral, with two accomplices, forced entry to a commercial building. They stole lighters and bottles of liquor, police reported. Amaral was given a court date of Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $30,000 court-set surety bond.

Daniel Canto-Melo, 23, of 145 Plank Road, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 30 with two counts of first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Nov. 30 at approximately 11:19 p.m. Canto-Melo was arrested on active arrest warrants. He was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on surety bond.

Julius Emerald Castro, 19, of 551 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 30 with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, possession burglar tools and conspiracy to commit possession burglar tools.

Police reported on Nov. 30 at approximately 11:01 p.m. Castro was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Oct. 27, 2018. Police reported Castro, with two accomplices, forced entry to a commercial building. They stole lighters and bottles of liquor, police reported. Castro was given a court date of Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $30,000 court-set surety bond.

Paul Lucke, 43, of 228 Valley Stream Lane, Southbury, was charged Dec. 1 with driving under the influence.

Herschel Walker, 28, of 10 Main St., Beacon Falls, was charged Dec. 1 with driving under the influence.

Colin Brian Leclerc, 21, of 403 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 1 with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, possession burglar tools and conspiracy to commit possession burglar tools.

Police reported on Nov. 30 at approximately 11:01 p.m. Leclerc was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Oct. 27, 2018. Police reported Leclerc, with two accomplices, forced entry to a commercial building. They stole lighters and bottles of liquor, police reported. Leclerc was given a court date of Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $30,000 court-set surety bond.

Jill Marie Colafrancesco, 37, of 174 School St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 1 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 1 at approximately 10:41 a.m. officers responded to Hazel Avenue by New Haven Road for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Colafrancesco was operating under the influence of alcohol. Colafrancesco was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Michael Wayne Griswold, 59, of 90 Cedar Lane, Beacon Falls, was charged Dec. 1 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 1 at approximately 9:28 p.m. Griswold was arrested on the above listed charge. Griswold was given a court date of Dec. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Genaro J. Cafasso, 65, of 45 North Humiston Drive, Bethany, was charged Dec. 1 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 1 at approximately 9:16 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Cafasso was operating under the influence of alcohol. Cafasso was given a court date of Dec. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Robert Castro, 48, of 55 Trowbridge Place, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 2 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 2 at approximately 12:28 a.m. an officer responded to a suspicious motor vehicle on North Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Castro was operating under the influence of alcohol. Castro was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Aliaksandr Heniush, 40, of 23 Old Tannery Road, Monroe, was charged Dec. 2 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 2 at approximately 5:27 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Heniush stole $204.53 worth of merchandise. Heniush was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Luis Figueiredo, 33, of 386 Scott Road, Waterbury, was charged Dec. 2 with driving under the influence, disobeying signal of officer and reckless driving.

Police reported on Dec. 2 at approximately 10:38 p.m. Figueiredo was arrested on the above listed charges. Figueiredo was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

Cody H. Sanford, 28, of 189 Shagbark Court, Cheshire, was charged Dec. 3 with possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 2:37 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. Police reported Sanford was identified as a passenger of the vehicle, and he was found to be in possession of narcotics. He was given a court Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on $2,500 surety bond.

Paul Alan Leone, 31, of 124 Radnor Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 3 with extradition arrest no warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance and illegal possession of weapon in motor vehicle.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 2:37 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. Police reported Leone was identified as the operator of the vehicle, and he was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. He was given a court Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Nicole F. Hulett, 27, of 235 East Flat Hill Road, Southbury, was charged Dec. 3 with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 2:37 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. Police reported Hulett was identified as a passenger in the vehicle, and she was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She was given a court of Dec. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.

Lyndell Bethea, 43, of 65 Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 3 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 7:15 a.m. Bethea was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Nov. 22, 2018. Police reported Bethea arrived at the victim’s home and argued with the victim. Bethea also threw an object at the home, police reported. Bethea was given a court date of Dec. 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

Sergio M. Mouta, 43, of 83 Troutbrook Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 3 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 5 p.m. Mouta turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Nov. 21, 2018. During an argument, police reported, Mouta struck the victim multiple times. The victim sustained a swollen eye and a laceration on his face, police reported. Mouta was given a court date of Dec. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.

Angelena Pizzi, 30, of 511 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 3 with use of motor vehicle without permission and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Dec. 3 at approximately 9:21 p.m. Pizzi was arrested on active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a larceny complaint made on Oct. 4, 2018. Police reported Pizzi took the victim’s vehicle without permission. The vehicle was recovered later in the day. Pizzi was given a court date of Dec. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Peter Martonick, 19, of 18 Baldwin St., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 4 with disorderly conduct and two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported Martonick was arrested on the above listed charges, however the arrest report was not available regarding this arrest. Martonick was given a court date of Dec. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on bond.

Francis Scott, 29, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Dec. 4 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Dec. 4 at approximately 3:07 a.m. officers responded to a domestic disturbance. During an argument, police reported, Scott struck the victim. Scott was given a court date of Dec. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

Vangjel Barolli, 25, of 283 Jersey St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 4 with possession with intent to sell and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Dec. 4 at approximately 5:33 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Union City Road. During the investigation, police reported, Barolli was found to be in possession of marijuana. Barolli was given a court date of Dec. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

Amanda Leigh Piccochi, 27, of 376 Congress St., Waterbury, was charged Dec. 4 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Dec. 4 at approximately 10:54 p.m. officers responded to Cotton Hollow Court and Beacon Valley Road for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Piccochi was driving under the influence of alcohol. Piccochi was given a court date of Dec. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond

Faneromeni Papantonakis, 29, of 50 Franklin St., Ansonia, was charged Dec. 4 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Dec. 4 at approximately 11:37 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported Papantonakis stole $76.41 worth of merchandise. Papantonakis was given a court date of Dec. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on promise to appear.
