Naugatuck police recently filed the following charges:

Jeffrey Kwame Amankwah, 20, of 90 Celentano Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 6 with possession of controlled substance or more than half announce of cannabis.

Police reported on June 6 at approximately 5:23 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 18 Harvest Lane for a suspicious person/vehicle complaint. Police reported the accused was found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The accused was given a court date of June 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Tyvin Gerald Morton, 21, of 117 Corneluis Ave., Waterbury, was charged June 7 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 7 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear (PRAWN) arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Robert Andrew Mulready, 43, of 933 Rubber Ave. Apt. 2L, Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with interfering with an officer/resisting.

Police reported on June 7 officers were dispatched to the area of Southwood Apartments located at 933 Rubber Ave. to locate a wanted person for Middlebury Police Department and a possible suspect to a burglary in Southbury. Police reported officers found the accused who then interfered with the officer’s investigation by resisting arrest. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Ronald Dominick Formica, 72, of 129 Highland Ave. Apt. 2 FL, Naugatuck, was charged June 8 with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 8 at approximately 3:09 p.m. officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck. The accused was released on a $750 surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 10.

Joseph Dominic Nardelli, 57, of 53 Conrad St. Apt. E, Naugatuck, was charged June 8 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and possession of controlled substance or more than half an ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on June 8 at approximately 3:49 p.m. Naugatuck police initiated a motor vehicle investigation on North Church Street at Porter Avenue. During the stop, police reported, the accused was observed to be operating under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, was in possession of a controlled substance and failed to drive in the proper lane. The accused was released on a $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Tucker Nolan, 35, of 150 Bluebird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged June 9 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Police reported on June 9 at approximately 4:34 a.m. Naugatuck police initiated a motor vehicle investigation in front of 3 Rough Wing Road. During the stop, police reported, the accused was observed to be operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Mark M. Silveira, 31, of 376 Main St., Naugatuck, was charged June 9 with sixth-degree larceny.

Cristina Gonzalez, 34, of 2440 Bronxwood Ave., Bronx, N.Y., was charged June 9 with illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension.

Edmond Pergjoka, 38, of 118 Woodward Drive, Wolcott, was charged June 10 with conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit violation of state building code penalty, conspiracy to commit violation of home improvement contractor requirements and conspiracy to commit notices in sales agreement.

Police reported on June 10 the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from a larceny, which included additional charges, and was reported to the Naugatuck Police Department on April 30, 2019, police reported. The accused was released on $1,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Adam T. Kosa, 45, of 99 Tawny Thrush Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 10 with violation of probation.

Police reported on June 10 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 27.

Michael Dwayne Jones, 50, of 229 Chestnut Ave., New York, N.Y., was charged June 10 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 10 the accused was arrested on an active failure to appear arrest warrant. The accused was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Kelly Thomas, 46, of 28 Vermont St., Waterbury, was charged June 10 with illegal operation of motor vehicle without insurance.

Police reported on June 10 at approximately 2:04 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Old Waterbury Highway and Waterbury Road. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle without minimum insurance. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 27.

Robert Arthur White, 52, of 175 Mill Pond Road Apt. 452, Hamden, was charged June 11 with violation of probation.

Police reported on June 11 the accused was arrested on a probation violation. The accused was released on a $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on June 19.

Jorge Luis Morales, 31, of 110 Dexter Ave., Meriden, was charged June 11 with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

Police reported on June 11 officers responded to a domestic disturbance between family members. During the incident, police reported, both subjects stated they became involved in an argument that turned physical when the accused struck the victim multiple times. The accused was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 12.

David Roberts, 42, of 50 East Waterbury Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 11 with violation of protective order.

Police reported on June 11 at approximately 5:46 p.m. officers responded to a residence on a violation of a protective order complaint. Police reported it was discovered through the investigation that the accused was in violation of a protective order by being on the property of the protected person. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 12.

Edwin Soto, 53, of 190 Fieldwood Road, Waterbury, was charged June 11 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 11 officers were dispatched to Walmart, 1100 New Haven Road, on a report of a shoplifting from the store. Police reported loss prevention advised that they observed the accused illegally conceal $68.01 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for items. The accused was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Robert Hinman, 55, of 1277 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 11 with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Police reported on June 11 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Naugatuck police initiated a motor vehicle investigation at McDonald’s, 718 Rubber Ave. During the stop, police reported, the accused was observed to be operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The accused was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 20.

Antonio Trusty, 31, of 276 Union Ave., Bridgeport, was charged June 13 with third-degree larceny and interfering with an officer/resisting.

Kenneth Michael Belanger, 55, of 143 Beacon Valley Road, Beacon Falls, was charged June 13 with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of controlled substance or more than half an ounce of cannabis.

Police reported on June 13 at approximately 11:25 a.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of South Main Street by the Mobil Station. Through the officer’s investigation, police reported, the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and in possession of a controlled substance while traveling unreasonably fast. The accused was released on a $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 26.

Tyrek Tavaris Jordan, 21, of 100 Mark Lane Apt. A7, Waterbury, was charged June 13 with possession with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance or more than half an ounce of cannabis, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operation of drug factory, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer/resisting and reckless driving.

Police reported on June 13 at 2:18 p.m. Naugatuck officers were dispatched to the area of 461 Spring St. on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Once the officer approached the vehicle, police reported, the vehicle that was operated by the accused sped away at a high rate of speed narrowly missing running over the officer’s feet. Police reported the accused was later taken into custody on Melissa Court, which is a dead end street in Naugatuck.
Police reported the accused had in his possession over five grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The accused was charged with additional charges as indicated. The accused was held on a $50,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury
Superior Court on June 14.

Duane Miller, 57, 44 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, was charged June 5 with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening.

Mckayla Debrizzi, 21, of 132 Highland Ave., Beacon Falls, was charged June 7 with disorderly conduct.
