Leaving a legacy

Woodland senior volleyball players Carla Piccolo, Cameron Caswell, Sam White, Jenna Boncal, Gina Farina and Ruth Costanza got out in style as the only class to ever reach the semifinals of the Class M state volleyball tournament all four years of their high school career.

Making school history

Woodland senior soccer players Alexa Casimiro, Shae Geary, Sonia Sousa, Jess Rodrigues and Val Vinca have the distinction of leaving the soccer program in good hands after leading the team to its first ever appearance in the Class S semifinals.

Swimming with Naugy pride

Naugatuck seniors Cara Rotatori and Faith Tuscano along with juniors Olivia Filanowski and Addison Best swam in two of the Greyhounds three relays in helping Naugatuck to 16th at the Class L state meet.

Stepping up in PK’s

Woodland junior goal keeper Jenna Pannone was at her best in the postseason stopping two penalty kicks not once but twice in the Class S tournament in games that came down to PK’s.

Diving success

Woodland senior diver Lauren Lombardo was a bronze medalist at the NVL championships and broke into the top ten at the Class S meet finishing eighth. Fellow senior Lisa Thrasher was fifth at the NVL championship and finished 11th in the Class S meet.
